MASTERING MY MENOPAUSE!

An 8-week workshop, created to bring you the confidence and tools to not only cope with your menopause, but to master it!

If you’re struggling with the myriad of symptoms, problems and questions the menopause has thrown at you, or you’re at the start of the menopause journey and want some help with what’s to come, then this supportive, personalised and broad-ranging workshop could be just what you need.

Over the eight-week course of two-hour sessions, you will:

  • Gain a clearer understanding of menopause and how it biologically affects your body, mind and hormones.

  • Learn about the pros and cons, as well as the different types, of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).

  • Understand the range of symptoms and learn proven tools for managing them, whether it’s hot flushes, sleep issues, mood swings or more.

  • Spend time with and share your stories, hints and tips, with a group of likeminded women going through similar experiences.

  • Discover how diet and lifestyle habits can boost your energy and vitality.

  • Feel stronger, in control and ready to face whatever the menopause might throw at you in the future.

Please note, the course details below are not set in stone. It’s key to the course’s success that there’s flexibility in the schedule. The direction of the course will depend on what each group member needs and wants to achieve, as to what areas we concentrate on most. I want every member to know that their issues and concerns are covered in as much detail as possible, so we can all achieve, together.

MASTERING MY MENOPAUSE!- Course Details:

  • Week 1 – Getting To Know You

In the first session, everyone will have the chance to chat about their experience of menopause so far and what their struggles and worries are. It’s key that we all get to know one another and build trust between us, in an empathetic and supportive environment. From this information, I’ll be able to modify the course as needed, so that it’s as bespoke as possible for every participant.

  • Week 2 – Our Goals

With my facilitation and support, the group will start working together, using their own personal experiences to enable everyone to set their goals for this workshop. It’s key that each member feels confident to share their good and bad experiences, as this is vital in helping everyone understand what they can individually achieve over the course of the workshop.

  • Week 3 – Building Confidence.

I hear a lot of women say, ‘I don’t feel confident’, but confidence isn’t a feeling, but the willingness to try. Menopause can knock our confidence in a lot of ways and I’m going to help you get it back. Depending on your goals and issues, we’ll work on building confidence, by putting attainable steps in place, to enable you all to start overcoming your problems. This could be confidence in work, family, friendship or love life.

  • Week 4 – Weight Management

Unfortunately, it’s proven that the change in our hormones through the menopause, can dramatically affect our weight and weight gain is one of the most common symptoms of menopause that women complain about. We’ll look at the options available to not only support healthy weight loss, but also to increase appropriate exercise, all while making sure that a balanced diet is maintained throughout.

  • Week 5 – Understanding HRT & Supplements

Hormone Replacement Therapy can be a very divisive subject due to the many and varied reports and studies that have been published over the years. We’ll talk about these reports and the most up to date findings. However, most importantly we’ll learn from the women in the group about their personal experiences of HRT and how it’s helped or hindered their progress. We will also look at the right supplements to take alongside HRT or on their own.

  • Week 6 – The Expert

One of the most important discussions about menopause in recent times was Stephen Bartlett’s 2023 Diary of a CEO podcast, with renowned doctor and menopause expert Dr Mary Claire Haver. We’ll listen to their fascinating conversation and afterwards decide which of the many topics that were raised, are the ones that the group would like to discuss and dissect at the next group meeting.

  • Week 7 – Our Reactions

This week, we’ll go into detail on the subjects we chose that were the most relevant during the podcast we listened to last week. This could be anything ranging from the attitudes of both men and the medical community, the extreme affects that menopause has on our health and future health, to one of the most important topics of all, our mental health.

  • Week 8 – Celebrating Our Achievements

In our final meeting, we’ll discuss all that we’ve learned and celebrate everybody’s wins. Whether that’s a new found confidence, a clearer understanding of HRT, making a decision to visit the doctor or losing a few pounds. Each of us will have a different goal and a different outcome, big or small, but all will be celebrated with a glass of bubbles as we raise a glass to a new you and how you’ve learned to Master Your Menopause!

How much will ‘MASTERING MY MENOPAUSE’ cost?

The 8 week course costs only £495.00

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It’s certainly important to attend every session, but of course if circumstances beyond your control mean you miss a week, that’s ok. However, we’d ask that you do all you can to be there, not only for you, but for the other group members.

  • Unfortunately, I can’t refund you for a week missed, but I can let you know an outline of what you missed before you come to the next session.

  • Absolutely! This course is for women pre, during and post menopause.

  • This would depend on the reason for attending and will only be allowed if all the other members are happy to have a man on the course. I don’t want anything to stop members being able to share openly and confidently.
